EMI Sportswear’s Long History In The Resort Industry
What does "EMI" stand for? Founder and company president Russ Coburn started the company in 1985 as Early Man Images. With an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts and graduate studies in Archaeology, Russ combined his artistic talent with his personal interest in the prehistoric cultures of the Southwest, and hand-drew images that were eventually screen printed on t-shirts.
Mark Reaves joined EMI as Russ’s partner in 2008 and serves as COO and Executive VP of the company. EMI employees approximately 60 people year-round at their state-of-the-art facility in Longmont, CO.
After more than three decades in the industry, EMI is well known for its innovative apparel, on-trend designs, and excellent quality and customer service.
